Just a quick note to let everyone know that Yeti Sleeping bags are now in stock (albeit very limited numbers!!). Actually arrive last week, but the madness surrounding the Beacons Ultra meant a delay in getting the product on line
There are currently only 2 suitable option available in the UK.....the very lightweight "Passion 1" and the significantly warmer "VIB 250".
As discussed elsewhere on the site the "Passion 1" is certainly a no compromise bag that perhaps should only be considered by the racing snakes where EVERY gram counts. Within the Likeys range, this is the bag that replaces the former OMM PA1. It doesnt provide a mass of warmth so for mid packers and steady runners, something like the Marmot Atom or the Mammut Spring Sphere would probably be the better choice.
The VIB 250 is at the other end of the spectrum with regards to suitability and warmth for desert racing and might be considered alongside the Marmot Hydrogen if you tend to sleep colder than normal (most ladies err towards this).
Likely to be some exciting developments with this range in months to come..... albeit the monthsI am reffering to will most certainly be post MdS 2010.

Are you going to be getting anymore Yeti sleeping bags in stock soon?
Am a bit concerned the Passion1 migh tnot be warm enough at night for MdS, what do you think?
More Yeti Sleeping bags are due with us in th next few days and I can let you know the moment they are available.
As for the 2nd part of your question.... IMHO, for the vast majority of competitors the Passion 1 wont be warm enough for the MdS. It is a superbly light bag, but consequently it isnt that warm. From about day 2 onwards, you will really appreciate your sleep, so unless you are competing at the very sharp end of the field and every gram counts, I would suggest you have a look at an alternative bag such as the Marmot Atom or Mammut Sphere.
...... and if you know that you sleep cold, even these bags might not be warm enough, so worth considering are the Marmot Hydrogen and perhaps the Yeti VIB 250.
Hope that helps

This pattern is really simple. Not fancy, but different material can be used. We made over 400 of these to hand out to the shelters after Katrina went through.
