To celebrate the 3rd annual outing of this event we have elected to reverse the much loved route of previous years
Starting at the National Trust in Tisbury, nestled in the heart of the Nadder Valley and smack bang in the centre of the Cranborne Chase and West Wiltshire Downs AONB, the route will take you through some of the most truly stunning and visually stimulating countryside that the South West has to offer...nay...correct that...the entire country as to offer.
You will find yourself making your way around the Fonthill Estate and the Vale of Wardour for approximately 32.29 miles - OK, we know that is a soupçon over 50K - and completing an overall elevation of approximately 3430ft.
Eventually (after a few bonus miles no doubt), you will end up exactly right back where you started your journey in Tisbury. Much hilarity and back slapping will then commence.
Each season of the year brings it's own beauty to this route. You don't want to miss this. We don't want you to miss this either.
Entrants must be a minimum age of 20 years on the day of the event.
The start point and finish point is at the National Trust, Court Street, Tisbury, Wiltshire, SP3 6LW. Parking will be available near the Start Point. A runners' rest area with a safe baggage drop area, toilets and our in-house Medical Team will also be located at the Start Point.
There will be 4 fully stocked aid stations in total - three on the route itself and a further one at the Finish Point (where a free hot meal will also be available). This will give you approximately 8 miles of running/walking/sauntering/charging downhill/crawling uphill in between food & water stops - it's not really a 'run', more of a 'mobile picnic' really.
The event starts from 0800 hrs (8am) Sat 10 Oct 2020. This year we will be having staggered Registration and Start Waves of groups of no more than 30 runners. The cut off time for completing the route is 10 hrs.
The course will be fully marked with tape and signage. Marshalls will be present and want to help you not get lost...sorry...help you not get geographically embarrassed.
So, if enjoying the company of fellow mud and trail running individuals for an entire day as you experience the visual delights of South Wiltshire is your thing, come along and make memories with us.
