The Canalathon 50KM option:

31-mile flat Ultra Marathon across the Famous Rochdale Canal Route 66.

The Canalathon 75KM option:

46mile Flat Ultra Marathon that does the 50KM route, continues to Brighouse Locks loops round and back the same  way to Finish at Sowerby.

The Canalathon 100km option:

62 miles that starts from Sowerby Bridge runs to Manchester, turns and returns on the same route to the finish in Sowerby.

75km 2017
Checkpoints had super support and was good overall. We ran as a 4 and missed the cut off however after dismissive grumpy official withdraw our numbers we finished anyway. Lovely place to run and although all the route is canal paths the scenery and communities were different and positive. There was a tricky road section due to floods I think so please double check the route before setting out as in the small towns the signage was reduced. Enjoyed lovely Yorkshire and Lancashire....

A nice flat ultra along the Rochdale canal. If doing the 50k route you start in Manchester and finish at Sowerby bridge. It made for an excellent first ultra due the flat paths. Some beautiful countryside along the Pennines and into Yorkshire. Do make sure you check out the route map before you set off. A few runners missed doing so and went the wrong way! Could be much better sign posted. A great medal but you do pay extra if you want medal, tshirt, food post race.
