The ROC Mountain Marathon™ is a two-day fell running and navigation challenge for solos and pairs with an overnight camp.

The event has proved a popular choice with mountain marathon competitors with its combination of both linear and score courses that provide participants with huge choice and minimise the chance of ‘snakes’ of runners all heading to the same control.

Famously relaxed and welcoming, the fun and friendly atmosphere of the ROC Mountain Marathon™ is epitomised by the lack of prescribed start times, the wide spread of prize categories (including Veteran and Super Veteran) and the opportunity for younger competitors (aged 14+) to participate.

The use of GPS Tracking allows anyone, especially friends & family, to follow the event live in real-time and adds significantly to the safety of participants.

This year's RMM was my 2nd mountain marathon (both RMM) and both times it's been fantastic. Friendly atmosphere, like-minded people, great organisation. Because the location changes every year, it never gets old.
Due to the huge variety of courses and score formats this event offers, there's something for everybody, and the entry threshold is really low. Ideal for beginners, but still really awesome for seasoned veterans of the sport.

This is rapidly becoming the "must do" mountain marathon for me , this was my 4th Rab and although I'm a veteran of many "Lamms" and the odd Kimm and Omm I would say this is by far the best organised event in the MM calendar .Friendly and suitable for beginners too as the course is operated on a score class only format which dispels with the linear routes of the Lamm /Omm (although on both of those events score is an option )
Good marshalling and a decent meal at the end .highly recommend .

My first mountain marathon as a competitor, great fun from start to finish (helped a bit by the glorious weather!). Well organised, environmentally thoughtful and a great atmosphere. Enjoyed being able to set my own level of challenge and not feel too overawed by elites.

Extremely well organised event. Course planning is one of the best of the mountain marathons, with loads of route choice, which means less "crocodiles" of people. Terrain is always varied and challenging, and the marshals are all brilliant. I'll be back!
