Both races start and end at Ambleside.

The route is fully marked and marshalled with checkpoints, and food stations will provide drinks and snacks along the route. Partial cut-off will be enforced at different checkpoints.

The mandatory kit will be checked at registration but also at the end.

I ran the 55K on 1st Jul 17. It was a phenomenally picturesque course, generally well organised and very well waymarked. It was my first ultra and it was TOUGH! It was actually 58K and involved approx 2800m of ascent. Not worth knocking any stars off, but the medal is rubbish (t-shirt is good though!)

I ran the 110 last year...I loved the location, I loved the midnight start...however, the food at the checkpoints had nearly run out each time we arrived...and we were running middle of the pack. So, I will give it a miss for a couple of years until the event sorts itself out. Excellent training for my first hundred miler which I ran about six weeks later
