100km single stage extreme Desert race on the largest salt pan of the Sahara - Chott El Djerid

Timing: 20h max time (3am Sunday) with specific deadlines for each Check Point

Check Points: Every 15-20km. Basic food (local dates, fruits, bread), water and medical assistance provided
Terrain: small sand dunes; sand; salt lake; dried river beds; rocks; very little elevation overall
Temperature: expect a dry hot weather with temperature in mid 30C during day time and low 20C at night (historical average)
Essentials: runners expect to carry a limited amount of safety equipments
Runners: all runners welcome (18 minimum age on race day)
Maximum race participants: 300
Winners Prize Money: EUR 3,000 for first female and EUR 3,000 for first male - other prizes to be announced for top 3 for both female and male categories
ITRA Points: 4 (subject to course validation)
Qualifying Race: UTMB (R) and others (subject to course validation)
Price: EUR 395 per Runner (includes domestic flights from Tunis Carthage airport, ground transport, accommodation in 4* hotel in half board for 2 nights -sharing room, insurance, race entry, Exclusive UMED cap, shirt and bag, medal and certificate for finishers)
Early Bird option: Yes, first 2 months of registration at EUR 300 (subject to availability)
Options: family and friends are very welcome to join to watch the race and the beautiful surroundings. Packages to be announced soon. Stay can be extended at reasonable prices. Single hotel rooms available subject to price and availability
Logistics: Runners expected to fly into Tunis Carthage Airport (connected to all major European cities). Departure will be on Friday 28th September from Tunis to Tozeur international airport. Return on Sunday 30th September I late afternoon.
