An ultra race to the origins of human evolution along the historical river Duero border.
The aim is to create an experience, a weekend to remember other times and places. We also welcome newbies to the world of ultra running, beyond marathons, a real sporting, cultural and "human" adventure, along historical sites of recent and ancient memory.
The route experiences abrupt changes in temperature, from 3ºC to +35ºC and takes runners along sections of the following historical routes: Camino de Santiago (St James' Way), El Cid Way, the Spanish branch of the Norwegian Saint Olav's Way, the Ribera del Duero DO, one of the most important wine growing regions in the world and last but not least, the archaeological site of Atapuerca, where some of the earliest remains of hominids have been found and excavated, a UNESCO heritage.
To mark the beginning and end of the race, we shoot four arrows: at the start line, half way through the course, at the finish line and a final one on the way home.
