Multi Stage Races
Hello,

I'm looking for any advice for my first multi stage race (4Deserts - Acacama Crossing). Do people know of UK good training races, or courses to help with how you actually manage one of these races.

The day to day running is fine, but all the self sufficiency and logistics that go with it are quite mind boggling.

I will be hitting the reviews and blogs (& Training) quite hard over the coming months, but would approciate any tips for this type of race. Thanks Andy

RE:Multi Stage Races
Hi Andy,

What an amazing race to pick! I did XNRG's Pilgrim's Challenge in 2016 - 66 miles over 2 days. A lot of people use that race as MdS training as the February mud is good training for the desert sand. XNRG also do a number of other multi-stage races. You can also use our listings calendar to search for events. Looking through our reviews and articles is also a great idea. There are a number of pieces relating to MdS. As a desert race, I would think many of the tips would be transferable. Would you also like me to put out a tweet to see if any of our followers have specific advice about Atacama Crossing?

Best of luck,
Sarah

RE:Multi Stage Races
Hi Sarah, Thanks so much for the quick response and the recommendations, certainly a couple of events to look at there.

I’m hoping the MdS reviews, tips and blogs will cross over, as there are lots of those to be getting through.

I would very much appreciate you putting out a tweet, any specific about the Atacama Crossing would be great. Thanks again. Andy
