Calf injury
Hi all,

I'm trying to get into running after time away doing some rowing and cycling but have developed a problem in my calf. It keeps tightening up after about 20 mins similar to a cramp feeling so that I cannot run on it anymore. There is also tightness in my left glute.

Can anybody recommend a running sports injury specialist? I'm based in Milton Keynes but happy to travel for the right person.

Thanks
Dave

RE:Calf injury
Hi Dave,

It's definitely a good idea to get this assessed by a specialist. I can't help with Milton Keynes, but I live in Bedford, so not too far away. I use Ken at Sports Massage Bedford. He is a runner himself (and a cyclist) and treats a lot of runners. You may well need a physio instead, but I believe he has a physio he works with, so may be worth dropping him a line.

Hopefully others will have more extensive experience of sports injury specialists close to you.

Good luck.
