White Rose Ultra
White Rose Ultra is a popular event amongst our members - we have 12 runner reviews, and all awarded the race 4 or 5 starts. There are three distance options: 30 miles (1 lap), 60 miles (2 laps) and 100 miles (3 laps + 10 mile extension). The route starts and finishes in Holywell Green, Huddersfield on Saturday. Runners will be competing in the beautiful Colne Valley on parts of the Kirklees Way, Pennine Way and other local tracks and trails.

The 30 lap includes 3865 feet of elevation. It is a well-marked, multi-terrain course, and around 250 runners are expected to take part. Completion of the race leads to 2 (30 miles), 4 (60 miles) or 6 (100 miles) new UTMB points.

Good luck to everyone taking part.

RE:White Rose Ultra
Two people decided 100 miles wasn't enough this year. They set off on Friday evening to complete two laps of the course prior to arriving at the start line with the aim of running a further 3 laps to make 150 miles. Reports are that one of the duo dropped out this morning after 36 hours. The other was predicted to finish this evening, but results have not yet been released.

We do know that the winners of the 30 mile race were Matt Wilson and Lucy Foreman. Full results to follow in due course.

RE:White Rose Ultra
Riccardo Giussani finished the unofficial White Rose 150 in 52:39:20 - a phenomenal achievement.Only 16 out of 60 entrants of the 100 miler completed the race, whereas the 30 miler had a high completion rate - 176/181. In the 60 miler, 21/48 successfully finished, and it's great to see that a female runner was the first to cross the line. These were the podiums:
