Hardmoors 55 (50)
Every March since 2014, Hardmoors runners have raced 55 miles either from Helsmley to Guisborough or Guisborough to Helmsley on the Cleveland Way. This year, the North Yorkshire Moors are celebrating 50 years of the Cleveland Way National Trail. Hardmoors are joining the celebrations by making the 6th edition of Hardmoors 55 a special Hardmoors 50 - a few tweaks to the route have made it a little shorter but with extra elevation.

Saturday's runners will be running from Guisborough to Helmsley through the North Yorkshire Moors and Cleveland Hills. The route includes Roseberry Topping and the Three Sisters. It's a tough route with a 16-hour cut-off, but all six of our runner reviewers gave it a fantastic write-up.

Last year's event coincided with the Beast from the East. Whilst faster runners were able to complete the race, others were stopped at Kildale as a safety precaution. The forecast for this year currently looks wet and windy. Hopefully it won't stop people having a great day.

RE:Hardmoors 55 (50)
The runners have been battling a headwind and tough, wet conditions all day. Most are still out there, but the podiums are complete. These are the top 3 men and women and their provisional times according to the tracker:

1. Jacob Snochowski - 8:19:06
2. Matthew Curry - 8:39:23
3= Mick Tupman - 9:17:19
3= Michael Harrison - 9:17:19

1. Kim Cavill - 9:57:31
2. Hannah McMahon - 10:31:18
3. Rachel Ross Russell - 10:56:03

Phenomenal times in such tough weather.
