Country to Capital 45
C2C is viewed by many as the opener to the ultra race calendar in the UK. This is a popular event, and we have 14 runner reviews, showing that it is a race that caters for all abilities. The combination of runnable trails and towpath would make this an ideal step-up from shorter distances. It is also viewed as a fast course for those wanting to race competitively.

Starting in Wendover, the first half of the route is undulating and muddy trails. The second half is run along the Grand Union Canal towpath, finishing in Little Venice. Previous entrants have mixed views about this part of the route - some find it dull and too flat, whereas others appreciate the opportunity for some fast running. Even those who were less keen on the scenery praised the organisation and friendly feel of the race, and it is one that many people go back to to try and beat their previous times.

This year's race (Saturday 13th January) is the tenth anniversary edition. Good luck if you are taking part, and let us know how you get on.
