Sky Gran Canaria
Sky running is becoming increasingly popular. Mountain races regularly attract a lot of interest both in terms of entrants and those tracking the events. On Saturday, sky runners will traverse Gran Canaria from Agaete in the northwest to Playa de Morgán in the southwest. They will cover 45 miles/72km and climb around 5,470 metres. The route includes the island's highest point, Pico de las Nieves, which reaches 1,954 metres above sea level. The cut-off time is 19 hours. There are also shorter races of 36km and 18km, but they will be anything but easy.

Good luck if you are running, and please let us know how you get on.

3. Ricardo Luis Trujillo (Spain) - 8:43:10

2. Marílo González Aboumedlej (Spain) - 11:18:55
3. Davinia Deniz Ortega (Spain) - 11:48:05
