The event begins at 2pm on 7 April at the Theatre by the Lake in Keswick, where the team will talk, show films from around the world, and take part in a Q&A.

The big event – the run starts at 5pm from outside the outdoor retailer George Fisher. There is a 5km and a 10km.

Also attending are Anna Frost, one of the world’s most recognisable ultrarunners, Francois D’Haene, the 2014 winner of UTMB, plus US runner Max King, winner at the 2014 IAU 100 km World Championships and the 2011 World Mountain Running Championships.

UK stars will include Maryport-based Ricky Lightfoot, winner of the 2013 Trail World Championships, plus Ellie Greenwood, two-time 100km World Champion.

The full team is: Kilian Jornet (Spain), Ricky Lightfoot (UK), Anna Frost (New Zealand), Francois D’Haene (France), Tom Owens (UK), Mira Rai (Nepal), Ryan Sandes (South Africa), Emelie Forsberg (Sweden), Laura Orguen (Spain), Remi Bonnet (Switzerland), Dakota Jones (USA), Rickey Gates (USA), Ellie Greenwood (UK), Max King (USA), Emma Clayton (UK), Micha Steiner (Switzerland), Philipp Reiter (Germany), Yngvild Kaspersen (Norway) and Martina Valmassoi (Italy).

Trail run tickets (£5 per person) are available from the George Fisher website and in store, while the Theatre by the Lake tickets (£10) are available from the theatre box office and website.

All proceeds from the theatre and the runs will be donated to the Fix the Fells footpath regeneration charity.
