Kilian Jornet to take on Scotland and The Lakes

Kilian Jornet is one of the greatest, if not the greatest, ultra runner on the planet. This year his calendar looks as exciting as ever. He has announced that he will be running in the Salomon Glen Coe Skyline™ 2017 and that he has ambitions to complete the Bob Graham round. He also wants to take on Everest once again, having had to pull out in 2016 and he has UTMB in his sights.

Salomon launches clean sport initiative

The world of trail and ultra running grew out of passionate enthusiasts organising and participating in races around the world. The community was small and made up of amateurs. But all that is changing rapidly. The positive is that the sport is gaining recognition and attracting more participants, but the negative is allegations of the use of performance enhancing drugs (PEDs) by some athletes.

Breaking News – Kilian Jornet back from Everest

As some of you may know and as reported by Ian Corless, Kilian Jornet is back from Everest. Kilian left on August 7th for Everest hoping to complete his next summit challenge without oxygen but the weather conditions were against him and his team.

Schlarb and Jornet win Hardrock 100

Kilian Jornet of Spain and Jason Schlarb of the USA have jointly won the infamous Hardrock 100 which set off at 6 am MDT on Friday. Their time was 22hrs 59. The two champions ran over the finish line hands raised and embraced.
