Antoine Guillon, Pere Lluís Garau and Tina Ameller win the race around Menorca

The 2018 Compressport Trail Menorca Camí de Cavalls (TMCdC) a 185 km race around the island has ended in victory for Antoine Guillon of France and local boy Pere Lluis Garau for the men and Tina Ameller, also from Menorca, for the women.

UTMB 2017 has been one of the most anticipated ultra races ever. The line up featured the best men and women currently in the sport and it was bound to be a royal battle. There were 2537 runners lined up at the start, ready to take on 171km with 10,000m + of ascent.

OCC results 2017

Looking at the live feed from Chamonix, where spectators and supporters were waiting as night fell for the remaining runners to come in from the OCC (Orsières-Champex-Chamonix), the rain was pouring down and it was a sea of umbrellas. No umbrellas, though, for those runners who were out on the mountains battling it out against the elements and each other.
