María Lorena Ramírez, from the Rarámuri community in Chihuahua, Mexico, won the females’ 50-kilometre category of the Ultra Trail Cerro Rojo, wearing a pair of basic sandals with soles made from recycled tyre rubber.

Antoine Guillon wins the 2017 Trail Menorca ultra marathon

Marathon des Sables 2017 Begins

It is the 32nd edition of the infamous Marathon des Sables (MDS) and the runners have had their first day of enduring the burning sun and the soft sand of the dunes. The race is 250km long and takes place over six stages in six days. The first stage was 30km.
