Kilian Jornet wins the Salomon Glen Coe Skyline

The Salomon Glen Coe Skyline is a 55km combination of running and scrambling with £4000 as a first prize. This year it attracted Kilian Jornet as well as over 1500 other participants from 30+countries for the weekend of racing in Scotland.

UTMB 2017 Results

UTMB 2017 has been one of the most anticipated ultra races ever. The line up featured the best men and women currently in the sport and it was bound to be a royal battle. There were 2537 runners lined up at the start, ready to take on 171km with 10,000m + of ascent.

OCC results 2017

Looking at the live feed from Chamonix, where spectators and supporters were waiting as night fell for the remaining runners to come in from the OCC (Orsières-Champex-Chamonix), the rain was pouring down and it was a sea of umbrellas. No umbrellas, though, for those runners who were out on the mountains battling it out against the elements and each other.

Ultra Great Britain 2017 Results

It is a stonker: 200 miles following the Trans-Pennine Trail from Southport to Hornsea (England, UK) in one go with a 100 hour cut off point. The bravehearts for this year’s edition set off on the 19th August at 6 am from the Trans-Pennine Trail Monument in Southport to tackle the mix of trail through wild and urban landscapes.

Running challenges just keep getting bigger. In this latest one, Nick Butter, from the UK, is planning to run a marathon in every country in the world, including the Vatican, which is going to mean a lot of going round in circles as it is only around one mile in circumference.
