Columbia Titan Ultra shirts review

Columbia has created a collection of clothing specifically for strenuous and extreme activities, such as training for ultra running. Included in the range is a long-sleeve half-zip shirt and a short-sleeved top. Both come in male and female fit.

Craft Running Wear review (Men’s)

I may have had my head buried in the sand, or been looking the wrong way, but I wasn’t aware of the Craft brand. Perusing their website, they’ve been in the game for the last 40 years and have a large range of clothing on the UK site that covers running, cycling and leisure wear.

Craft women’s summer running kit review: Habit top, Breakaway jacket, Essential 5” shorts

Summer running is here with its focus on cool, sweat-wicking kit and enough thin layers to keep you warm when the temperature drops. I tried out a trio by CRAFT: a vest top, shorts and lightweight jacket. This kit came in at a very reasonable price and so I was interested to see if it still delivered.

Helly Hansen Active Flow LS vs. inov-8 Hooded AT/C Merino LS review

Whether you wear it for the entire run, put it on at the start when it’s chilly and take it off when you warm up, or pop it on at higher altitudes, there is little doubting the value of a long-sleeved baselayer or mid-layer. A baselayer is also useful year-round and, for many ultra runners, a favourite extra layer will be with them for years.

Rab Xenon X Vest and Icebreaker Helix Vest review – a tale of two gilets

I started wearing gilets for cycling as I found that that extra insulation for my chest and back was invaluable during long, cold days in the saddle. I hadn’t worn them for running before, but this Autumn has given me the perfect opportunity to test drive a couple and I have to say that I have been impressed.

Icebreaker Cool-Lite Spark Short Sleeve V and Icebreaker Comet Long Sleeve Half Zip tops review

With the end of summer and the beginning of Autumn it is time to get out the transitional tops. I am definitely a sweaty betty so I need tops that will let me sweat at will and dry quickly. Even when the weather is chilly, I find that I heat up quickly. I have always liked Icebreaker merino products, and have a couple of tops that have lasted over ten years through thick and thin so I was pleased to give these two a run for their money.
