Pros: What’s good about SkinFit Vento Trail Skirt

My favourite item to wear on my lower half is a skort. I like the flattering and feminine look of the short and skirt combo.

If you do not feel confident in tight-fitting shots this is the ideal remedy because you get the support of the shorts with a skirt over the top to hide any lumps and bumps.

In particular, I like the length of the inner shorts of the SkinFit Vento Trail skirt. Many skorts have legs that are too short. But the SkinFit legs stay in place and offer good thigh coverage. They do not ride up or annoy.

The wider hem on the lower part of the short makes them really comfortable. There is no bulging or discomfort at all. The design is excellent.

The support of the soft Lycra fabric is fairly good. If you want a tighter fit I suggest going down a size from what you might normally choose.

The skirt is long enough to reach to just above the hem of the shorts. This means you get great coverage.

There is no restriction when running. The skirt feels like it is not there at all really.

The waistband fits me perfectly. It is not too high-rise or too low and it fits gently around my lower waist. It is one of the most comfortable running products I own.

I have to say I was doubtful that the Teflon water repellency treatment would work after a few washes. However, after many washes and then plenty of drying in a tumble drier, the Teflon still does a great job. Water simply runs of the outside of the fabric. This is really rather amazing.

There is a strip of thinner, translucent fabric that runs around the lower half of the skirt. This is a nice design feature and also allows for breathability. Of course it also allows a bit of wind to get into the skort but since I would usually wear this on a warmer day it is not a problem.

The colours of the skort are fantastic and I have received many compliments and questions about this product. I really like wearing it.

The skort has become my number one choice of wear for warmer weather.
If you are packing for a holiday and want to take running clothes with you, the skort fits into a tiny corner of your suitcase.

Cons: What’s not so good about SkinFit Vento Trail Skirt

There is little to fault with the skort. Normally I would find something to complain about but I am struggling with this product.

Perhaps the inner pocket is worth a mention. I can’t see the point in it. I would find it annoying to carry anything in the pocket unless it was very lightweight such as a bank note or a credit card -  a waistband pocket would be a lot more useful.

The Lycra shorts could be a little more supportive. I found I need to wear ordinary pants under the shorts but this is not a problem. As I said above, if you want a bit more support, buy a size smaller so they are tighter fitting.

€89 might seem like a lot for one skort but I have found the product lasts very well. I have worn it repeatedly and washed it again and again and it still looks great.

Conclusion

I absolutely love the look, fit, feel and technical details of this skort. It is very comfortable to wear and has brought many positive comments. I would happily buy another one so I would always have a SkinFit skort on hand to wear.
