inov-8 AT/C Raceshell waterproof running jacket review

The new Raceshell jacket is said to be a “versatile, fully-featured, hooded running jacket designed for really cold, wet conditions”. I have tested it on wet and windy runs in Scotland, where it can be pretty chilly.

Whether you wear it for the entire run, put it on at the start when it’s chilly and take it off when you warm up, or pop it on at higher altitudes, there is little doubting the value of a long-sleeved baselayer or mid-layer. What do HH ratings mean? Waterproof and breathability ratings explained

You will have seen waterproof ratings, on jackets for example, of 10,000/10,000 and 20,000/20,000. But what do the rating numbers mean? Manufacturers usually describe the waterproof and breathability of fabrics using two numbers. The first is in millimetres (mm) and is a measure of how waterproof a fabric is.
