I know that is a big claim in the title there and I am immediately going to caveat it with the provisos that every runner and every race are different, but what I am aiming to do is give a comprehensive list of what you might need on a mountain stage race.
OUR RATING
11-Oct-18
Thunder and lightning crack over my house and the torrential Autumn rain freezes and turns to snow on the Atlas mountain peaks that surround me.

I started wearing gilets for cycling as I found that that extra insulation for my chest and back was invaluable during long, cold days in the saddle. I hadn’t worn them for running before, but this Autumn has given me the perfect opportunity to test drive a couple and I have to say that I have been impressed.

With the end of summer and the beginning of Autumn it is time to get out the transitional tops. I am definitely a sweaty betty so I need tops that will let me sweat at will and dry quickly. Even when the weather is chilly, I find that I heat up quickly. I have always liked Icebreaker merino products, and have a couple of tops that have lasted over ten years through thick and thin so I was pleased to give these two a run for their money.
