inov-8 AT/C Raceshell waterproof running jacket review

The new Raceshell jacket is said to be a “versatile, fully-featured, hooded running jacket designed for really cold, wet conditions”. I have tested it on wet and windy runs in Scotland, where it can be pretty chilly.

inov-8 Trailroc 285 review

As I pull open the box of a brand-new pair of Inov-8 Trailroc 285s, I look down and a smile stretches across my face. I’m back to being 14 again and thinking that I’m going to look like the coolest kid at the disco.

Best ultra running socks review

They are probably your least expensive bit of kit but they protect your most important asset – your feet. Blisters, bruising, and toe nail trauma can all be alleviated by wearing the right socks for the right conditions and for your feet. I have been trying out a variety of different brands over the past few weeks, working out what I think works best where and why.

Helly Hansen Active Flow LS vs. inov-8 Hooded AT/C Merino LS review

Whether you wear it for the entire run, put it on at the start when it’s chilly and take it off when you warm up, or pop it on at higher altitudes, there is little doubting the value of a long-sleeved baselayer or mid-layer. inov-8 AT/C Tights and Craft Devotion Tights review

James spent much of the winter running in tights (or ‘leggings’, to others). Winter in the UK was mild pre-Christmas, but January has seen him run in temperatures predominantly between -5⁰C and +5⁰C, with plenty of mud along the way. He tested two pairs of tights from inov-8 and Craft mostly on the canal path trail as well as the Cotswold Way and Ridgeway.

Inov-8 Trail Talon 275 running shoes review

The blurb for these Inov-8s says “for long miles on hard packed trails”. I tried them out on trail/mountain bike routes in the Peak District (UK) and also on a couple of longish days on hard-packed sand trails in the Agafay desert in Morocco.
